This was a welcome find at Cullaloe LNR on Aspen. NBN maps show the species as almost ubiquitous but much of Fife lacks squares for "ubiquitous" species for want of surveying (presumably? hopefully?)
Other species present on the chopped-off branch of Populus were L.chlarotera, L.symmicta, Ledicella elaeochroma, Xanthoria parietina, and Opegrapha atra on the trunk.
These seem to represent the
Lecanorion subfuscae alliance of well lit branches and twigs. The coverage of the branch was heavily dominated by
L.chlarotera
